Introduction

The Petronas Twin Towers are the symbol of modern Malaysia. Completed in 1998, these twin skyscrapers held the title of the world’s tallest buildings until 2004 and remain the tallest twin towers on the planet today. Designed by Argentine architect César Pelli, the towers blend futuristic engineering with Islamic geometric motifs, reflecting Malaysia’s ambition and cultural identity.

Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), the towers are not just an architectural icon but a full visitor experience. From sky-high observation decks to shopping, dining, and one of the city’s best urban parks, this is a must-visit stop for first-time visitors to Kuala Lumpur.

What to See and Do at Petronas Twin Towers

Skybridge & Observation Deck

The Skybridge connects the two towers on the 41st and 42nd floors, followed by the Observation Deck on the 86th floor. From here, you get uninterrupted views of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline, including Menara KL Tower and the surrounding city centre. Tickets are limited each day and often sell out, so booking in advance is strongly recommended.

Suria KLCC

Located at the base of the towers, Suria KLCC is one of Kuala Lumpur’s premier shopping malls. It houses international luxury brands, popular fashion labels, a large food court, cafes, and an art gallery. Even if you’re not shopping, it’s a convenient place to cool off and eat after visiting the towers.
